Scientific Conference to Explore the Life and Organizational Challenges of President Jalal Talabani (Mam Jalal)

Under the supervision of the University of Sulaimani, and in collaboration with the President Jalal Talabani Foundation and nine other universities in the Kurdistan Region, an international scientific conference will be held at the University of Sulaimani. This conference will explore the life, activism, and organizational and political works of President Mam Jalal. Notably, the participating universities include Koya, Raparin, Halabja, Garmian, Sulaimani Polytechnic, Garmian Polytechnic, Komar, Tishk International, and Qaiwan universities.
The conference, scheduled for next year, will provide a scientific examination of President Talabani’s contributions in various fields. It will highlight his efforts in human rights, diplomacy, the liberation of Kurdistan under dictatorship, the establishment of the regional government, his pivotal role in building a democratic and federal Iraq, his work in consolidating peace, and his historic election as the first President of Iraq.
The conference aims to introduce Mam Jalal’s worldview in management and leadership while offering a comprehensive and multifaceted portrayal of his political, intellectual, legal, and diplomatic contributions. It will underscore his pivotal role in the Kurdish Liberation Movement, highlighting his charismatic and creative problem-solving abilities. The event will also delve into his efforts to strengthen the Kurdistan Region’s position, his advocacy for the rule of law and women’s rights, and his significant contributions to science, the preservation of culture, education, and higher education. Additionally, the conference will present his views on freedom of opinion, journalism, and political literature, analyzing their impact on thought and discourse. Furthermore, it will examine his influence on Iraq, the region, and the international community. Lastly, the conference will shed light on Mam Jalal’s commitment to environmental protection and his efforts to preserve the authenticity and identity of cities.
