Congratulatory Message from the President Jalal Talabani Foundation on the 34th Anniversary of the Great Uprising in Kurdistan

To the families of the honorable martyrs,
To the heroic Peshmarga
To the esteemed citizens of the city of Ranya
To those who ignited the first spark of the Kurdistan liberation
On the 34th anniversary of the glorious uprising of the people of Kurdistan (March 1991 Uprising), we extend our congratulations to the families of the honorable martyrs, the heroic Peshmarga, the people of Kurdistan, and all the resilient citizens of Kurdistan. On this occasion, we offer a tribute of respect and loyalty to the people of Kurdistan.
It is our collective duty today, as we commemorate this uprising—achieved through the leadership and struggle of President Mam Jalal, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and the sacrifices of the martyrs—to safeguard the achievements made, the spirit of Mam Jalal, and the legacy of the uprising. We must hold firmly to unity and solidarity to achieve our future goals, continue the struggle to secure the constitutional rights of the people of Kurdistan, and take greater steps toward improving living conditions and enhancing the social and cultural life of our people.
What we have today is the result of the sacrifices of the martyrs and the suffering of those who participated in the March Uprising. Therefore, protecting the achievements of the uprising and upholding the responsibilities entrusted to us must remain a top priority. We hope that this anniversary will serve as a motivation for greater fraternal cohesion, solidarity, and national unity among our people.
On this blessed day, we hope that the political forces in the Kurdistan Region will overcome their differences and work to serve Kurdish society and find fundamental solutions to its challenges.
