On Sunday, April 13, 2025, a Swedish parliamentary delegation from the Social Democratic Party visited the President Jalal Talabani Foundation in Sulaimaniyah. The delegation included Members of Parliament Olof Möller, Kadir Kasirga, and Leif Nysmed, as well as Michael Hauer, a project manager at the Olof Palme International Center.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Yousif Zozani, Vice President of the Foundation. During the meeting, Mr. Zozani discussed the foundation’s previous activities and its major principles. He emphasized that the foundation's work is driven by President Mam Jalal’s vision and dedicated to an active contribution to the areas of archive, documentation, culture, and scientific research.
The Swedish delegation conveyed their full support—and that of the Swedish Parliament—for the foundation’s endeavors. They affirmed their commitment to promoting teamwork and pledged to support and contribute to the development of the foundation’s future initiatives.
