Sulaimaniyah, Thursday, August 17, 2023 - The sixth Symposium of Outstanding Papers hosted by University of Sulaimaniyah, witnessed the significant participation of the president of President Jalal Talabani Foundation, the Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Sabir.
The University of Sulaimaniyah hosted the much anticipated sixth Symposium of Outstanding Papers, a groundbreaking scientific event that garnered attention at national level. This symposium, the first of its kind in Iraq, brought together a confluence of high academic achievements and scientific breakthroughs.
The symposium, which enjoyed collaborative efforts from the University of Sulaimaniyah, Kscien organization, President Jalal Talabani Foundation and Mayorka City, show cased the remarkable accomplishments of researchers and scholars from Kurdistan and Iraq.
Dignitaries from the government, along with representatives from various Kurdish parties graced the event.
A staggering 20,000 research papers published in 2022 were evaluated, out of which 10 outstanding papers earned recognition and awards. This process of selecting and ranking the standout papers was meticulously carried out by Kscien, utilizing the SNAPR scientific criteria. The symposium aimed not only to honor the brightest minds but also to foster a culture of research and innovation within the region.
By recognizing and supporting these exceptional researchers, the symposium hopes to inspire a new generation of scholars to pursue and excel in their scientific pursuits, further propelling the growth of knowledge and innovation in Kurdistan and Iraq.
One of the most noteworthy moments of the event was the acknowledgment of the youngest and the most active female researchers emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in academia.
