On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed families of martyrs, PUK veterans, brave Peshmergas, political prisoners, youth, women, students, and the Kurdish people. May this anniversary lighten the sacred path of our party even further. On this occasion, we honor the pure soul of our nation’s leader, the wise and historical figure, President Mam Jalal.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is a testament to enduring strife, blood, struggle, and sacrifice. This legacy fills us with everlasting pride and makes the name and reputation of the Patriotic Union a revered mantra. Guided by the intellect and vision of President Jalal Talabani, the PUK has been committed for 49 years to the pursuit of freedom, democracy, equality, human rights, and resistance against dictatorship.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has consistently pioneered in addressing the challenges faced by our nation. It has played a crucial role in establishing federalism, promoting balanced policies, and uniting the diverse components and sects within the new Iraq.
