President Mam Jalal once said:

“We should strive to ensure that Turkmen, Arabs, and Kurds live together in freedom, democracy, and prosperity, enjoying a better, more comfortable and meaningful life.”

On the occasion of the election of the new governor and the formation of the Kirkuk local government, following seven years since the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) regained the governor's post for the Kurds; we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the PUK and the newly appointed Governor, Rebwar Taha. We wish them every success and pledge our support.

We hope that the new governor will carry out his duties with a spirit of brotherhood, treating all communities and political groups equally, and working to strengthen and protect the coexistence among all citizens of Kirkuk. May he lead the city to become a shining example of beauty, economic infrastructure, and reconstruction among Iraqi cities.

It is well known how deeply President Mam Jalal cared for Kirkuk and its people. He was always focused on fostering peace and coexistence in the city. In this spirit, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, has stated: “The Patriotic Union practices politics in Kirkuk as President Mam Jalal did. Our priority is to serve all our brothers and sisters, not just the Kurds.”

Once again, we congratulate the people of Kirkuk and the new governor, and we look forward to a new era of service and development for the city.
