On Monday, November 25, 2024, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani received a delegation from the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, an organization active in the cultural, humanitarian, and national field, including the archiving of the late President Jalal Talabani's legacy.
During the meeting, the discussion focused on the life and legacy of the late president, his national contributions, and his essential role in Iraqi politics. The delegation highlighted Talabani's efforts in resisting dictatorship, his commitment to the reconstruction of a democratic Iraq, and his advocacy for the principles of justice and equality for all Iraqis, in line with the country's constitution.
On his part, Prime Minister Al-Sudani praised the historic role played by the late president, emphasizing that he was truly the safeguard of the Iraqi people. He stressed the importance of preserving his legacy, archiving his contributions, and highlighting his steadfast resistance to authoritarianism and the criminality of the dictatorship.
