On Monday, December 9, 2024, Mr. Luis Ayala, former Secretary of the Socialist International and a close friend of President Mam Jalal, visited President Mam Jalal's mausoleum. He was warmly welcomed by Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation.
During his visit, Mr. Ayala laid a wreath of flowers on the tomb of President Mam Jalal as a gesture of loyalty and respect. After writing heartfelt remarks in the guest book, he highlighted President Mam Jalal's key role in promoting coexistence in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He referred to President Mam Jalal as a fellow companion in the global struggle for freedom and peace.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Ayala stated, "We proudly remember the service he rendered and deeply respect the history and sacrifices he made for humanity." He emphasized that "Mam Jalal played a significant role in transformative changes and had the ability to navigate crises through his political and social leadership."
Later in the day, Mr. Ayala visited the Amna Suraka Museum. Concluding his tour in Sulaimaniyah, he visited the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, where he expressed admiration for its achievements and its ongoing efforts to honor President Mam Jalal’s legacy.
