On the evening of Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, Head of the National Wisdom Movement, visited the Mausoleum of Mam Jalal in Sulaymaniyah. He was received by Dr. Mohammed Saber, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal.
After laying a wreath of flowers at the tomb, Mr. Al-Hakim wrote in the memorial book:
"We have grown accustomed to visiting Mam Jalal while he was alive and now visiting his resting place after his passing, whenever we come to Sulaymaniyah. This reflects our deep respect and appreciation for this great Kurdish Iraqi national leader, and serves as a reminder of his immortal stances in combating dictatorship and building the new democratic system. He was a symbol of national unity and a prominent national figure whom we are proud of. It is also an opportunity to recall our historic ties with him and our brotherly relationship with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan."
Mr. Al-Hakim expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, stating his pride in the existence of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation.
He was also welcomed by several members of the Political Bureau and Leadership Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
